ABOUT

STICS is launching an innovation ecosystem for a smarter Slovakia

The data of Slovakia’s municipalities, towns, and regions have been asleep—until now. The Smart Transformation and Innovation Consortium Slovakia (STICS) is waking them up. We are uniting 24 international partners from municipalities, academia, business, and the nonprofit sector and building an open ecosystem that will bring, test, scale, and implement innovations across local governments. Our motto is: “Short Project, Big Impact – STICS, join the progress.

CHALLENGES

The STICS consortium accelerates innovation-led transformation through our own development, testing, and implementation of solutions, and through cross-sector collaboration. We remove barriers between demand and supply, lay the foundations of a functioning innovation market, and do so transparently—through co-creation and co-design with all relevant stakeholders. Innovation stalls most within municipalities; that’s why STICS turns the data jungle into a clear highway of innovation and opens it to anyone who wants to improve life in towns and cities and strengthen Slovakia’s competitiveness.

CONNECT

We are building an open innovation ecosystem that turns ideas into results and strengthens Slovakia’s prosperity and competitiveness. Whether you represent municipality  (STICS Follower), business, academia, a nonprofit (STICS Collaborator), you’re a student or an active citizen (STICS Explorer) – with us you can act, not just watch. Participation is transparent and free – you invest only your time. In return, you gain new knowledge and experience and access to know-how, partners and opportunities that will move your vision, projects and impact forward.
