ABOUT
SAPIE is an independent organization representing 200 companies, supporting the development of the knowledge economy in Slovakia. SAPIE focuses primarily on building an innovative ecosystem in Slovakia and the broader Central European region, supporting businesses in digital transformation and the adoption of innovations, assisting educational institutions in teaching innovative and technological trends, and formulating policy recommendations in the field of digital and innovation policy both in Slovakia and at the EU level.
OUR ACTIVITIES IN THE CONSORTIUM
• Leading Work Package 5: Market Creation
• Directly responsible for the following tasks and outputs:
• T5.6 Acceleration, commercialization, and scaling = report on the acceleration program, presenting outputs such as created business models and achieved KPIs of supported startups
• T5.7 Identification of new use cases and business models = hackathon report presenting identified ideas and business models
• T8.3 Activities in designing and promoting policy recommendations = D8.3 White Paper containing proposals for improving public policies
BENEFITS OF OOUR OUTPUTS AND TARGET GROUP
1. Support for innovative solutions and business models designed within the STICS project, or by actors outside the project, and their scaling on the market – target group: innovative teams designing new solutions for cities and municipalities.
2. Drafting recommendations for improving policies in the field of innovation and regional development – target group: relevant state and public administration bodies.

What Are Your Expectations from the STICS Project?
From the outputs of the STICS project, I expect the creation of innovative and sustainable business solutions in the field of implementing innovations in cities and municipalities. These solutions will contribute to higher-quality public services, sustainable energy solutions, enhanced security, and greater efficiency in the functioning of cities and municipalities. At the same time, the project will support the improvement of public policies and strategies in the field of innovation and regional development.
For Whom and When Will Your Outputs Be Applicable?
The outputs in which we participate are primarily intended for companies and universities working on innovative solutions, whom we will support in their acceleration and commercialization. At the same time, we will support cities and municipalities in improving the design of strategies and development plans. Through our outputs, we will also support central government bodies responsible for policymaking in the field of innovation and regional development.
